Wigan (A) - Match Blog #6

Barnsley travelled to Wigan, who despite starting the season on minus 8 points following last season's relegation from the Championship, they haven't let off-field matters get them down, in fact, they've started the season in great form, and they're obviously not here to make up the numbers.

Barnsley are not without issues in their own camp, and we needed to bounce back to winning ways after successive 3-1 home defeats! And we sure did! With a fantastic 2-0 win away at the DW Stadium, which secured us all 3 very much needed points!

Latics fans could argue an early red card gifted their visitors a win, but that's a little unfair. We created a lot of chances, and Devante Cole continued his fine scoring form putting us 1-0 up, and we continued to create chances throughout the game. There was always a chance 10 man Wigan could have sneaked the draw in the latter stages of the game, but in added time, new boy John McAtee put us 2-0 up to seal the 3 points, with a backflip to celebrate!
