What Barnsley can expect from Exeter City on Tuesday

We look ahead to Barnsley`s fixture away at Exeter City on Tuesday night by speaking to Exeter fan Dan from the Big Bank Theory Podcast asking him for his opinion on the Grecian`s season so far.

Ian Hope from the Tyles Blog sat down and asked Dan about Exeter`s season so far and where the threat will come for the Tykes.

Q1 Back in October, Exeter put the reds to the sword with a comfortable 2-0 victory at Oakwell with quick goals in the first minute of each half. How has your season progressed since that win?

It has been fairly consistent on the pitch, we are probably over achieving. However, off the pitch we have had a manager change which seems to be going well so far but the timing was far from ideal.

Q2 How has your home form been this season?

Our home form is a little unpredictable. We have lost to a few teams we expect to be beating but overall we are about on a par.

Q3 Who in the Exeter side is a threat to Barnsley on Tuesday?

If they are still with us by Tuesday Sam Nombe and Jevani Brown in attack are both superb and consistent performers.

Q4 Barnsley always set up in a 3-5-2 formation. What formation do Exeter set up with?

We almost always set up with a 3 at the back but we can chop and change a bit.

Q5 Exeter sit 12th but only last week were 5 points off the play offs (a defeat away at Portsmouth setting you back to 8 points). What were your aspirations for the season after promotion from League Two?

Realistically, we would be delighted to avoid a relegation scrap. That's not where we are right now but we know we could get drawn quickly into one.

Finally, give us your score prediction for Tuesday night.

I predict a much tighter game than the one earlier in the season. 2-1 to Exeter but we may go a goal down first.
