Tough decision ahead for Duff over goalkeeper situation at Barnsley

Barnsley manager Michael Duff has a big decision on his hands today ahead of the League One fixture away at Wycombe Wanderers. Does Duff stick with Harry Isted in goal or give now fit Brad Collins a return straight into the side?

Since his move from Luton Town in January which saw back up goalkeeper Jack Walton go the other way, Harry Isted has not put a foot wrong between the sticks for Barnsley. In the seven appearances so far, Isted has only conceded three goals none of which could be attributed to him.

Isted has settled straight into a side that is motoring along in League One and a defence that is looking water tight. Without any fuss, Isted has gone about his business with a calmness that means Collins now has a battle on his hands to regain a starting place in the side.

With Collins returning to fitness, Duff has to decide whether Isted has done enough to deserve a longer run in the side. Collins has been a consistent performer for the reds and has done little wrong in his time at Oakwell and would normally walk straight back into the side but Isted`s form cannot be ignored.

During Barnsley`s torrid season in the Championship last year, Collins was one of a few consistent performers and had it not been for this, the reds would have been relegated much sooner.

Does Duff reward Collins`s consistency or keep with Isted who has seamlessly integrated himself into the team? It is always a big call where goalkeepers are concerned and one which Duff will be acutely aware of.
