Final game at Oakwell for 2023,and an early Christmas present for the Reds!
We took on Stevenage, the team you might call the surprise package of this League One season!
We knew today wasn't going to be easy, but we managed to take all 3 points.
The Reds went down to an early goal from the visitors, and looked second best until out of the blue McAtee scored a 25 yard chi and hit us with a crazy backflip to top it of!
Into the 2nd half and we started slowly, but eventually Herbie Kane drove through and hit a shot that deflected, and looped up and over the keeper to make it 2-1.
5 mins left and we score another through Cosgrove, then a whole minute later the Ref blows for offside. Mind blowing decision, typical of this division's officials. We still held on for 3 points as we go into a massive and crucial Christmas period.
