Shrewsbury (A) - Match Blog #41

Blog

So it's Shrewsbury away on a cold and wet Tuesday night. Most Reds expected 3 points following the Orient game, which wasn't a great performance, but the lads came off the pitch buzzing, and we expected that buzz to flow into tonight.

Shrewsbury away is never an easy one, and you're never going to take all three points with such a poor performance like we saw tonight.

1-0 in the first 10 minutes, a Nicky Cadden own goal, gave us a mountain to climb. We struggled throughout, but we did start to apply a bit of pressure in the last 20 minutes, and somehow the refereeing gods were shining on us as we won a late penalty on 92 minutes. Herbie Kane calmly slotted home the penalty to level the game. We managed to hold and and claim the away draw.

A good result considering another under par performance. Enjoy the Vlog.
