It's Boxing Day, and Barnsley made the trip to Stoke on Trent to take on Port Vale, looking to keep up their fine away form!
Boxing Day is such a good day for football in general, but where better to go than to the team we'd thrashed 7:0 on the opening day of the season! 1,200 Reds fans made the trip expecting goals, and they were in fine voice!
It was a game of two halves. The first half was incredible, goals from Phillips and 2 from inform McAtee took us into the break 3-0 up, The second half was a totally different story, as Port vale came out fighting, and they posed a threat across the part. Their energy pulled them one back on 72 minutes, and another in added time. Luckily we held on, a very poor second half and some poor substitutions early on, but 3 points and a good Boxing Day!
Onto Peterborough away, which is another huge game for us!
