Blackpool (A) - Match Blog #55

Blog

Last League away game, and penultimate game of the League One season as the Red Army took over a sold out away-end on the west coast. We were in search of three desperately needed points to confirm our play-off spot for the second time around!

Even after a recent few months of very poor form, and that dreadful Portsmouth display, we were all optimistic and were focussed on kicking-on towards the playoffs, unfortunately that didn't happen, as the players on the field didn't appear to share our optimism. Maybe the rumours of three first team regulars moving on at the end of the season are true, and this is leading to disruption in the dressing room?

The Reds went down 2-0 in the first half, and our hosts made it 3-0 shortly after half time. We then decided to try play some football, too little too late, pulling two goals back but not enough to salvage any points!

Bottling the play-offs is truly a possible if we fail to win vs  Northampton next week at Oakwell. Things could get very toxic if that were to happen.

Enjoy the vlog!
