Barnsley fans make their feelings known with loanee

News broke on Thursday evening that Callum Styles had suffered a quad injury that will keep him out of action for 3 months. This could effectively end his season at Championship side Millwall where he has been on loan since September.

The Hungarian international signed a new contract at Barnsley at the end of the summer transfer window only to then go out to South London on loan for the 2022/23 season.

It has not yet been decided whether Styles will return to his parent club Barnsley to continue his rehabilitation or stay at Millwall. Tom Edwards returned to his parent club Stoke City after suffering a knee injury playing for Barnsley in January so it is possible Styles may do the same.

Barnsley fans have reacted to the news of Styles injury and made their thoughts clear on social media where they prefer Styles to conduct his rehab.

It will be seen what happens to Styles and whether he makes a return this season. The consensus is that he is less likely to return to Oakwell and see out his contract, opting to play in a higher division and keep hold of his place in the Hungarian national side
